Useful Information

• Reclaimed materials are considered to be any materials that have 

   been used before and reused without processing. They may be

   adapted and cut to size, cleaned up and refinished, but fundamentally

   are repurposed in their original form.

• VOCs: Volatile Organic Compounds that produce a breathable gas.

• Sustainable: capable of being continued with minimal long-term 

   effects on the environment. Sustainability requires that human

   activity only uses nature's resources at a rate which they can be

   replenished naturally (Wikipedia)

• Recycled content products contain recovered materials or post- 

   consumer materials or both. Recovered materials means materials

   that have been removed or diverted from solid waste-in other

   words, trash-including solid waste created by manufacturers.

   Post-consumer materials are materials that we discard at home

   and at work that are separated or diverted for recycling instead

   of going to a landfill (EPA ).

• Organic fiberfills: can be made out of bamboo or corn-based, an

   annually renewable resouce (among others). As the fastest-growing

   plant on the planet, bamboo hasthe ability to absorb 2/3 more

   carbon dioxide and release 2/3 more oxygen than any other plan;

   its  environmental impact is obvious. Bamboo is processed into fiber

   using pollution-free methods with very little waste.
